How to install the KUBI partition walls
The cubicles for public toilets are installed starting from a line drawn on the wall: wall channels, partition panels, top rail and finally the front panels. These are the steps of the FIP installation sheet for KUBI HPL walls.
- 8 steps
- 10 cm the line from the floor
- Ø 3.5 mm bit for the profiles
Three phases, one after the other
You start from the wall and finish at the front: first the reference line, then the walls between cubicles, then the rail and the front panels.
You'll need
- Laser level
- Tape measure
- Drill
- Ø 3.5 mm bit
- Wall plugs to suit the wall
- Silicone
These are the tools that appear in the drawings and text of the sheet.
The reference
The whole installation relies on a level line on the wall: draw it carefully before drilling.
- 1
Mark the position of the channels
The position of the wall channels comes from the measurements in the design: that's where the partition panels will be attached.
- 2
Draw the line 10 cm from the floor 10 cm
With the laser level, draw a horizontal line on the wall 10 cm from the floor. Check whether the floor slopes: the line stays level even if the floor does not.
Channels and partition panels
The channels hold the panels between cubicles: they are fixed to the wall, then the panels go in and are screwed.
- 3
Fix the channels to the wall
Fix the channels to the wall with wall plugs suited to the type of wall. The profiles are pre-drilled and let you insert the shims needed for an accurate fit.
- 4
Insert the partition panels Ø 3.5 mm
Insert the panels into the channels and check with the laser level that they are perfectly vertical. Then drill the profiles with a 3.5 mm bit and fix them with two screws at the ends.
Rail and front panels
The top rail ties everything together; then the front panels go on and you check that each opening is as wide as in the design.
- 5
Fix the top rail
Fix the rail that runs along the top and joins the panels. While doing so, keep the channels vertical and check that the panels are still aligned with the 10 cm line.
- 6
Fit the outer front panels
Install the front panels, the ones beside the doors, keeping them perfectly vertical.
- 7
Run silicone along the top rail
Apply silicone along the whole surface of the top rail.
- 8
Check the width of each opening Caution
Measure the distance between the panels, at the top and at the bottom: it must be the width L given in the design. If top and bottom don't match, the panels are not vertical.
The sizes of the cubicles
Width and depth
On the product page choose how many cubicles you need, from 2 to 5, and the width and depth of each cubicle, from 100 to 140 cm. These are the sizes the design measurements in step 1 come from.

If the walls are not square, the floor slopes a lot or there are pipes and drains where the channels go, send us a photo and the room measurements before ordering.
