How to install the pivot door with a framed leaf
The framed glass door turns on a pivot: at the bottom on a spring set into the floor, at the top on a bracket. These are the 6 steps of the FIP installation sheet, with the door sizes compared with the opening.

Two phases, 6 steps
First the floor is prepared with the spring, then the door is installed and adjusted.
You'll need
- Drill
- Ø 8 mm bit
- Allen key
The sheet has no list of tools: these are the ones needed for the holes and the adjustments in the steps.
The measurements of the door
Doors are ordered by the opening size; these are the sheet's rules for the door.
The height
Door height = opening height − 32 mm: at least 18 mm of gap at the top and 14 mm at the bottom.
Example: opening 2100 mm high, door 2068 mm high.
The width
Door width = opening width − 13 mm: at least 10 mm on the pivot side and 3 mm on the other.
Example: opening 800 mm wide, door 787 mm wide.
The components of the pivot system
These are the parts from the installation sheet.

The top pivot can be shortened by up to 10 mm.
The floor
The spring is fixed in the floor before installing the door.

Drill the floor 60 mm
Make the hole for the spring in the floor, 60 mm deep: one Ø 45 mm hole and, around it, 4 Ø 8 mm holes for the plugs, at centres of 86 × 35 mm. The pivot axis must be at least 60 mm from the wall.

Fix the spring
Place the spring in the hole, in the correct position, and fix it with the 4 plugs.

Fit the bottom support
Insert the spring into the bottom support and tighten the screws.
The door
The spring and the top pivot must be on the same vertical line.

Align spring and pivot Caution
Check that the spring at the bottom and the top pivot are on the same vertical line.

Adjust the closed door ± 2.5 mm
Using the Allen key, adjust the bottom support until the closed door is in the right position: it moves by ± 2.5 mm in both directions.

Check and close up
Check all the screws again and fit the cover.
