How to measure for a security door
A security door is fitted on a steel subframe that is walled into the opening. That's why you start from the opening in the wall: it must be 1.5 cm wider than the frame and as tall as the frame.

The frame measures 103 × 217 overall: the opening is 1.5 cm wider and just as tall. These are the sizes from our installation sheet.
First the subframe, then the door
The steel subframe has 8 anchors that are cemented into the wall. It must be level and plumb, flush with the inner wall, and the spacers are removed only once the cement has set. Then the frame and the leaf are fitted. We recommend installation by qualified staff.
After fitting: there are 4–5 mm between leaf and floor and about 11 mm between leaf and frame. Both are adjusted at the hinges.
Three common mistakes
- Mixing up passage and overall sizeOn the product page you choose the passage (80, 85 or 90): the frame is larger.
- Measuring the old doorWhat counts is the opening in the wall, not the door you remove.
- Measuring before the floor is laidHeight is taken from the finished floor.
