How to measure for a surface-mounted sliding door
With the Magical track the door slides in front of the wall and covers the opening. That's why it must be larger than the opening: all you need is two measurements and a simple sum.

The door is always larger than the opening
These are the minimum additions: the door must be at least this size.
Partial or full? With full opening, when the door is open the whole width of the opening is clear. With partial opening, when the door is open 10 cm of it stay in front of the opening.

When you open it, the door slides along the wall. On the side it opens towards you need a stretch of free wall at least as wide as the door: no switches, sockets, furniture or corners.

- Ordering the opening sizeA surface-mounted door must cover the opening: always add the extra.
- Measuring before the floor is laidHeight is taken from the finished floor. If the floor goes in later, the opening changes.
- Forgetting the wall beside itWithout free wall the door can't open fully.
